Hot on the heels of last fall's landslide, we suffered a bout of vandalism this spring. Intruders attempted to open the door to the hatchery (unsuccessful), and interrupted the water supply to the building. Due to the loss of many incubating eggs, we called the police to investigate this event. The attending officer was so inscensed that she called the media. Coverage from that attracted a lot of attention to our project, most notably RBC (Royal Bank) Edgemont Village branch. They have become active in volunteering on many projects since then.
